Account Deletion
In short
- You can delete your account yourself from the app in a few steps; this cannot be undone.
- Your account, library and connections are deleted immediately; backups keep them for at most 7 days.
Delete from the app
Android
- Open Skrobla and sign in.
- In the Settings tab, tap the profile card at the top (or Profile).
- Tap Delete My Account at the bottom.
- Type your username to confirm and tap Delete.
Web and Windows
- Sign in to Skrobla and open ⚙ Settings at the top right.
- Click the profile card on the left (Profile).
- In the Delete Account section, type your username and click Permanently Delete My Account.
If you can't sign in
Reset your password with "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen using the code sent to your email (if you signed up with Google, use "Continue with Google"), then follow the steps above. If you can't access your account at all, you can send a deletion request via Settings → Report a problem in the app or at skrobla.support@gmail.com; include the username of the account to delete.
What is deleted?
- Your username, email address, password hash and profile photo
- Your watch history, watchlist, lists, ratings and "Recent events" list
- Your notifications, sessions and all device keys (connected phones, computers and extensions are signed out)
- Your Trakt and MyAnimeList connections and their tokens
- Your blocked sites, app version record and other account settings
What may remain for a while?
- Daily server backups: for at most 7 days, then removed automatically.
- Security logs (e.g. the "account deleted" event, with the username and IP address): at most the latest 5,000 entries are kept; older ones are deleted automatically.
- Messages you sent via "Report a problem": may remain, unlinked from your account (with your username removed).
Other services and your devices
Data in the Trakt and MyAnimeList accounts you optionally connected belongs to those services; you can delete it separately on their sites. Uninstalling the Skrobla app and extension from your devices also removes the settings left on them.
